TL;DR version: What should i do first (second, third, etc.) to have fun game just after 99 level?

Yes, hello fellow Ragnarokers. Noob here.

Not really noobster noob, but someone far far away from "veteran" title.

Soooo. You see, this forum and Internet in general have lots of guides that goes like "if you have ten different characters of 160+ lvl and somewhat around 40 billion zeny to spend, that is what you should do in <particular situation>". And there's some of "how to get your first 100k zeny and get fast to second job".

But i have a little different problem - lack of knowledge for 100+ lvl game.

That's how it goes. I have a 100 lvl Gulliotine Cross, 80 lvl Blacksmith and maybe something around 10-20 m zeny (if i sell all my sticky webfoots and maneater blossoms). And i don't know where to go next:

- almost all 100+ mobs i tried to farm with my GC are much much harder to kill, than a 99- ones;

- i can't buy some neat gear to farm better, because every single item cost something around "all my zeny" at minimum, and "all my zeny ten times" in most cases;

- and i don't know where to get zeny faster than "spend all my free time for a whole month farming Bathorys to buy one midterm item from a multi-piece-set".

LowTI is fun and good exp, but painful and lots of deaths, and almost no money. Nogg2 is like lowTI but much slower (because of walking), more deaths and less fun. 100+ eden missions in Glastheim is even worse because of hight HIT mobs like Sting, Arclouse and Gargoyle (but mission for Medusas is a breeze).

That's why i need some advice in "how to play when you get beyond 99". Something like places to levelup, ways to get zeny or gear, items to look up for buing/questing/dropping. Maybe even build for 100/10 GC (because now i don't see how Rolling Cutter is better than Meteor Asssault)?

PS: Is it even worth it to farm Rought Energy Crystals to improve my Opera Phantom Mask (for +5 ATK and MATK)?

Buy a enforcer shoes and spam your MA up to 175 and easy defeat all instances.. good luck

If you have problem with zeny, I hope you have a heroic backpack. So you can greed in Low TI.

Usually I have tested, 3millions per 30 mins with only rubbish selling not including all those valuable items that you picked up for example in this weekly turn in they drop ygg seed which usually sell for 120k. If you have plenty time greeding there, you can be earning 100m per day.

and for you GX, just spent all your zeny to buy an enforcer shoes. and use Ma for leveling. ezpz.

Oh note to mention, build a merchant and level to 40 or something so you can sell higher price for those craps you pickup..

Same, i hunt horns for now  and saving. Non trans merchant class is lacking AoE(cart revo is not enough to one shot enemy)  and cant even solo in low ti with cheap equip.

Make a GX, get the Enforcer shoes. You can one hit KO almost all mobs to the way to level 175 with little investment.

Also get the Heroic Backpack, greed loots and use your merchant to sell the loots.

Jimkee, ChakriGuard, thank you both for your advices. But i think you little bit overestimated what i could do (or, most importantly, buy), as a new player on this server.

There's about 30mil zeny now in my possesion. 130mil if i decide to sell Chick Hat, that i bought for KP. I believe, that is about 1/10 of Enforcer Shoes's cost or 1/3 of Heroic Backpack's. And much less part of it, if i want to keep my Chick Hat, which i do.

So my GX not powerfull enough for ezpz leveling, and not rich enough to afford gear for ezpz leveling. And i need directions as of where to level at least "not great not terrible" or how to get zeny for so needed gear.

Because i myself can't find mobs that is somewhere between "boring but killable" and "good exp (or loot) but very deadly".

Ok, you don't need a Heroic Backpack since you have a blacksmith. Just level him up to 99 with tons of vit and agi so you can dodge and not dieing so much in Low Turn-in (I assume you know where is it).

Then greed in Low Turn In, like I suggest, it could get you some start up zeny if you have time greed there.

Buy 200+ wings just greed loots from LTI and resell to NPC.

It's so depends on how much time you could devoted to this game if You are a Free to play player.

Greeding Low Turn In map usually get 3-5m per 30 mins if you are doing it a efficient manner. So If you spent 10 hours per day ( well thats sux and boring). you could  get 100millions per day. and You would get to where the point you can buy Enforcer shoes in 15days or less. Once you get enforcer shoes, then everything will be easy.

As I and Charki suggested, if you want to have an easy game life. GX with enforcer shoes it is the only option right now that you can have full experience the game and with reasonable spent of zeny:). (except WOE)

for above 100+ leveling, I usually party in Mid Turn In or leveling doing bounty board in Juno.

If youre in for long term no p2w grinding then try leveling to level 140 first using rolling cutter + enchanted poison bottle (poison bottle very cheap now!). Should be able to kill anything even with cheap gear. Only thing you need worry is your health and sp. Earth deleter card for sp, tons of fish + scatleton/skelion pet and some entry leech gear like Oni Horn should help you a bit. Oh btw please put in some Dex because youre going to need it to hit things.

After you hit level 140 then can start to do Royal Banquet quest to farm Honor Token to get Royal Guard Shield to sell. From my experience this always sell well. Actually you can start farming from level 100 with only doing Kitchen Quest. 12 token a day so need 66 days if consistent for a gear worth 350m-400m zeny. But once you hit 140 you can start doing extra quest for more token to up to 60 token a day if do all quest.

Theres plethora of things to do which does not necessarily doing hard thing but perhaps very time consuming like hunting low level mob to get their valueble card. Archer Skeleton, Hunter Fly is an example. These are also viable way to make money but perhaps not your cup of tea. (Ok maybe not my cup of tea)

Erm but from experience I saw some new pplayer start selling kp, or buy gear using money because not of cannot level at all but more like they want to be powerful like their friends faster , which probably have been playing for couple of years. Nothing wrong about that but like yeah... do whatever you want i ll advise a little bit of farming and little bit of money spend for QOL. But prepare a lot of patience if you going non p2w route because its not leveling are tough, I think its the peer pressure that are tougher.

Hey not to steal the thread but i too used to play back when iRO launched and stopped playing around 2008 so anything past 99 is ALL new to me, im playing a RuneKnight and find it hard to locate current guides and information. Where do i farm decent mobs between 100-140 im pure solo as ive yet to meet many friends to hang out with. Im not interested in pvp im 100% pvm with a goal of making my RK beastly and ive set my mind on locating a lindy hop sword after finding an out of date guide from 2017

At lvl 100 you're NOT gonna be earning 100m a day or even 1b a month. Best you could do is probably 5-10m or 20m a day (depending on the hours you're putting in).

Been there done that. You just have to accept the game at a slower pace. Its always slower to level your first char to 140 and beyond (175), especially if you dont want to spend. Just level as it is according to the guide

Unless you're willing to pick up items one by one which is increasingly slow, I would recommend your BS winging and greeding in Low TI/Nogg for a few weeks or even months, to greed the items so you can sell it to the NPC. At nogg this can give you between 1-4m every trip.

Get a heroic backpack for your GX, doenst have to be +9, a +0 work. Then you can level while greeding so it kind pays the pots needed and some extra income.
